Dear Friends,
Wow! What an amazing time it was at our 30 year reunion, and if I do say so myself the alumni of Southeast High School Class of 1981 have aged to perfection. Everyone looked great! I wanted to take this opportunity to thank those of you who were able to attend, and it is our hope that the reunion met your expectations. It was obvious that time does not effect long term friendships as everyone seemed to enjoy reconnecting like it was only yesterday when we saw each other last. For those classmates who were unable to attend you were truly missed, and we look forward to seeing you at our 35 year reunion.
Over the weeks to come I will be communicating with you to inform you of when formal pictures and memory books from the 30 year reunion will be available. In addition, I encourage everyone to visit our web site as it will be updated routinely to included pictures from this reunion as well as past gatherings. Keep in mind that if you have any favorite pictures you can add them as well to the website (contact Randy Ford). Classmates Randy Ford & Mike Hancock are responsible for this amazing site, and we thank them for giving us this tool to remain current. Also, over the next few weeks there will be new information added to the website including instructions on how to purchase formal pictures (From the 30 Year), memory books (Past & Present Reunions), and an incredible DVD created by Randy Ford which tells our story and has 30+ years of memories from the class of 1981.
Finally, I want to thank the committee members for all their hard work, and dedication to the success of our past and present reunions. It is because of them it is all possible, and we have already begun discussing plans for our 35 year reunion. So many of you have already inquired, and we welcome your feedback so that we can continue to make our reunions successful. As always I encourage everyone to stay in touch, and feel free to contact me anytime if you have any questions or just want to catch up.

As you (hopefully) know, our 30 year reunion is right around the corner (August 5th, 6th & 7th), and the reunion committee is working diligently to assure that it is an event to remember. I’m sure you can appreciate the time and energy the committee is putting into planning this event, but as you can imagine we cannot do it alone. So the purpose of this post is to petition your help on multiple fronts.
Even though we have our own website, and I have attempted to communicate routinely we have still not heard back from a number of classmates on their intentions on whether they plan to attend our not. In addition, there are some classmates we still have no contact information at all or even know their where abouts.
We are attempting to secure our venues and it is next to impossible to make appropriate plans without a more exact number of attendees. So, I encourage each of you to please respond to me by April 9th (use the info below or use our contact page) giving me a tentative idea if you plan on attending or not and if you might be bringing a guest. Also, if you could reach out to any classmates that you may have contact with that has not engaged us please encourage them to e-mail me as well. WE DON’T WANT ANYONE TO MISS OUT! We understand that many of you may still be deciding to attend or not, but even if you think you might be attending I’m asking for a response so that we can choose our venue accordingly.
Also, many of the deposits that are required for such an event (Venue, Pavilions and Music, etc….) we the committee members have already absorbed personally in hopes to make this a successful endeavor. We are asking that if you are planning to attend if you could forward a $20.00 non refundable deposit (Payable to: "Southeast High School Class of 1981”) to assist us with the initial planning costs.

Ive started a new section called "Alumni Pages". They used to be in the right sidebar, but I thought that now they should get their own page! So if you have your own site, either personal (even Myspace, Facebook, etc.) or professional, send me a link with your own short description (see the new page for examples) and I'll gladly add it to the growing number of other classmate pages!

We're back! The site was transferred to a new server, and is now being hosted by fellow alumni Randy Ford (me). Several areas are being updated (mainly the photos) which I'm working on to create a new gallery section that everyone can easily contribute to!

THANK YOU! (from Don Slate) Wow, I can truly say that Saturday night [8/19/06] was an absolutely incredible evening! On behalf of the reunion committee I would like to extend our gratitude for your attendance, and it is our hope that each of you had a wonderful time catching up with old friends. I would also like to add that the Class of 1981 never looked so good. We must have some good genes as we seem to be like a fine wine and really do get better with age. It was truly a pleasure seeing so many of you attend the reunion, especially classmates who traveled a great distance to join us. Over the next 5 years I will be attempting to provide you with routine e-mail updates on class activities so that the 30-year reunion can also be a huge success.
For those of you who could not attend Saturday night, I can assure you that you were certainly missed, and we look forward to seeing you next time.
